The Golf Academy at Eagle Ranch


Eagle Ranch is proud to offer one of the most comprehensive, personalized Academy programs available in Western Canada. Our groups are limited to 3 to 6 golfers per instructor, so that the utmost attention can be given to each student. Head Professional, Steve Haggard directs all instruction and students are coached based on their individual needs.

Golf Schools also feature daily lunch in our spectacular new clubhouse overlooking Lake Windermere. Head Chef, Drew MacDonald promises to please with his creative talents and nothing tops off a great day of golf better than a selection from the valley's finest wine cellar.


Head Professional Steve Haggard has been a member of the Canadian Professional Golf Association for eleven years. Steve attended Camosun College and was the Assistants Representative on the PGA of British Columbia Board of Directors for 1 year. Prior to joining Eagle Ranch, Steve was a Class A Associate at Bear Mountain and spent six years at Victoria Golf Club in Victoria, British Columbia.

Assistant Professional, Ryan Wells is a Graduate from the Golf Management Program at Holland College in PEI. He was a member of the Varsity Golf Team and was ranked #1 as a Junior on PEI. Ryan turned professional in 2006 the same year he came to Eagle Ranch. Ryan’s goal is to become a Class A Head Golf Professional while continuing to grow the game by helping others make improvements in their game.

Assistant Professional Corey Braaksma has been with the Eagle Ranch team since 2006. He turned professional in 2008, the same year he graduated with honours from the Professional Golf Management program at Lethbridge College. During his time in Lethbridge, Corey was a member of the Varsity Golf Team that competed in both Regional and National Championships. Corey's goals for the future are to become a Class A Head Golf Professional, and to continue to grow junior golf.

Three-Day School


During our three-day program you will gain an understanding of ball flight laws and with the help of video analysis you will learn a complete set of practice drills to improve your personal golf swing. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of short game and you will learn how to apply stroke saving shots from around the greens.

During one of your three days of golf, on our award winning Eagle Ranch Golf Course, you will also enjoy the benefit of an on course 9 hole lesson with your CPGA instructor.

Private Lessons and Coaching


From the beginner to the advanced, or from the most dedicated to the most time restricted, it is unrealistic to believe that all golfers have the same goals and commitments for their golf game. For this reason the Academy at Eagle Ranch offers many private lesson options.

Individual Lessons (Adult):

 Head Professional  $60.00  30 minutes
 Assistant Professional  $50.00  30 minutes

 

Individual Lessons (Junior):

Group Lessons (Adult) 3-6 students

Playing Lessons



Playing lessons include a 15 minute warm-up and evaluation of fundamentals on the driving range prior to tee off, nine holes of golf and a 15 minute wrap up (on driving range). During this outing you will be introduced to course management, visualization, shot selection and enjoyment you never thought possible in golf.

Martini Monday Ladies Clinic: $79.00


This continuous four (4) week group instructional clinic will cover all the basic fundamentals required to enjoy the game of golf. After each class we will assemble on the fantastic deck of the Eagle Ranch Clubhouse to enjoy a Martini (included in registration price). By the end of the clinic you will have some wonderful new golf friends and you will be ready to take on our signature 18th hole.

Junior Programs and Camps: $89.00


Eagle Ranch welcomes the opportunity to introduce your children to the basics of golf in a safe, fun environment. It’s never too early to start your children in the game of golf. Our programs are set up as two-day camps and kids are broken up by age & ability.

Sunday Junior Swingers Clinic: $59.00

This continuous four (4) week group instructional clinic is meant to introduce children to the game of golf in a fun and interactive setting. We will cover all the basic fundamentals needed to play the game and ingrain them with fun drills and competitions.
