Davis Poscente

Davis has been working at Eagle Ranch as a PGA of Canada professional since 2020. He began golfing at the young age of 2 years old at the Bearspaw Country Club west of Calgary Alberta. Davis had a very successful junior career climbing the ranks of the RCGA order of merit, to as high as 2nd in the country. This successful junior career led him to a scholarship at the University of Louisiana, Monroe. While in Louisiana Davis studied business management. He has won multiple events on the collegiate circuit and was named to the GCAA PING All-American team as well as winning a national championship. Davis took his talents to the Vancouver golf tour and Pepsi tour, which then led him into becoming an Associate Professional at Inglewood GC in Calgary, Alberta. He received an opportunity to join the team at Eagle Ranch and snatched it up promptly and hasn’t looked back since.

Teaching Philosophy:

Start from the ball up. Grip, stance, and alignment are the most important aspects to learn. Once a player can grasp those fundamentals, the sky is the limit. Learning, then trusting your true, authentic swing is the key. Davis has extensive experience in the game of golf and is now finding his calling in teaching the game to his students.

Key Swing Thought:

"Get yourself out of the way."

Favorite Hole:

15 at Eagle Ranch; you must be very precise off the tee shot. Which can lead you to an opportunity for an eagle. Just don’t get distracted by the 360* views!

Shelley Thomsen - LPGA Professional

Shelley has been a member of the LPGA Teaching Profession for 25 years. She began her career at the Windermere Valley GC before proceeding to the Radium Springs Course from 2010 to 2014. She joined the Eagle Ranch team in 2015.

Teaching Philosophy

Teaching comes naturally to Shelley as she has an extensive background in instruction and coaching golf as well as Alpine Skiing. She loves teaching and coaching juniors as well as women/men of all ages.

Key Swing Thought:

"Picture the shot, then execute."

Favorite Hole:

#18 at Eagle Ranch; it provides you with a challenging finish in a setting that is spectacular, second to none!
